I should add a couple notes about the Z32 brake swap information shown on that site:

1) They make note of a "5 sided allen plug" or a 5-point HEX PLUG installed in the Z32 master cylinder. These plugs can be very difficult to remove, so people should plan ahead on having the proper tool OR be prepared to use some force. I recently installed an OEM Z32 master for a customer and removal of the hex plug was a bitch.

2) If you dont want to deal with the plug issue, Centric offers a master cylinder that is ready to go. The ports are machined with the proper flares so no mods are needed.

3) The Centric master cylinder is reasonably good quality for an aftermarket item. There has however, been some discussion about the cap not fitting right and/or leaking. My customer opted to change the centric out for OEM due to his leaking around the cap. For all fairness, his cap was repeatedly over-tightened which resulted in a hairline crack. The OEM and Centric caps are not interchangeable. Furthermore, Centric does not offer better quality cap nor do they even sell replacement caps - you have to buy an entire master cylinder.

The centric reservoirs can also leak where they go into the master cylinder itself.

They are based on a nabco, so I bought new OEM seals, z32 reservoir and cap from Nissan and I'm going to try that.

Cardone also sells a BMC like the centric, with the 3rd fitting also installed. I'm running one now, and it looks like it might have the slightest weep from the reservoir seals, as well, which is why I'm going to re-reservoir my extra centric.

Probably worth buying an OEM z32 master at this point....

You may be correct, one of the previous Centric BMCs my customer had also appeared to leak around the reservoir. I yanked off the reservoir and noticed that there was a tiny piece of machining metal that appeared to be the cause of the leak. I simply cleaned it and put a dab of RTV around the seals and all was good.

I could be wrong, but I do not think RTV is soluble in brake fluid.

In regards to the missing OEM Z32 flare fitting, we went diving through BMCs at the scrapyard and NONE of them had inserts that we could remove - they were all cast and machined (1 piece). We went through practically every NISSAN at the yard and found nothning (Senta, Altima, G20, J30, 240SX). Fortunately, I had recently pulled my BMC from one of my cars (Lexus SC300) and that had fittings inserted into the BMC. With no cutting, I simply screwed a drywall screw gently into the fitting and it pulled out with ease. The only issue was the fitting was slightly larger OD than the Z32 port. I carefully enlarged the hole with the proper size drill bit, inserted the fitting with some red loctite. The OEM Z32 BMC is currently working without any hiccups.

When I converted to my Z32 BMC, I dremel cut the housing around one of the fittings on the S13 BMC until it was exposed and I could pull it out. Wish I would have known about the drywall screw method.

Or you can just buy the fitting on ebay for <$10 and save some hassle.

I've always purchased master cylinders with the 3rd fitting already in so I didn't have to mess with it.

If you're running stock BMC with z32 brakes do you guys waste brake fluid really fast? It tends to happen to me I top off fluid one day the next week I'll have to top it off again. And no I'm not leaking anywhere just checked today. Any suggestions? or is that how stock BMC reacts to having a 4 piston brake setup.

Ya if definitely have some one pump the brakes while you look from underneath, check the hard lines, soft lines even caliper seals.

Well I was wrong you all were right lol. The conversion lines were literally loose on both sides for some odd reason. All I did was disconnect them reinstall them and bled the brakes and everything is working beautifully.

For the rear Z32 setup I'd also like to note the flange on factory Z32 hubs...



If you are going to utilize the e-brake properly you will need these hubs. If you don't you will have to get a washer/spacer of the same thickness as that tab to properly offset. I had to do the latter with my Ichiba rear hubs...



As you can see, a big ass spacer now resides where the Z32 tab would normally be.

And if you use washers, be careful that that anchor piece doesn't twist as it will catch the inside ebrake drum part of the rotor and tear it up.
