Just thought i would post this.

I tried posting a picture in my intro from photobucket, and kept getting this "It was not possible to determine the dimensions of the image." Not sure what the issue is, as photobucket is what i've used for years with no issues.

This seems to be an issue with the server host, I will get in contact with them and get this resolved. Thank you for the heads up.

Not a problem, figure the more traffic, and more people trying things issues are bound to come up.

Alright. It appears the function used to get the dimensions from images on photobucket etc is a security issue, so I added another function to bypass it, let me know if it works or not.

Would appreciate:

"new posts" search function
(since last visit)

"today's posts"
(threads updated in the last 24 hours)

"multiquote"
(button in the replying to posts)

Multi-quote already exists but it works a little differently. When you are on the Post a reply page, simply scroll down to the topic review and press the "Quote" button on the post you want to appear in your message. Every time you press quote button for that person's post, it'll add it to your post wherever you cursor is at that time.

I'll work on the new posts and today's posts, where would you like those links located?

Middle of the page or even a tab or something. Think the logout/pm/search ect buttons in the corner are a little small and crowded as well.

PS. Figured out the multi quote thing. That works!

"View New Posts" since last visit can now be utilized. On the main page, top right corner of the forum, underneath the User CP panel a bit. For the "Today's posts", I see that as being very similar to the "View New Posts" function so as of right now I do not see the need.

Thanks for the suggestions!

Glad to see you using your old screen name Mike. I modified the template, and I made the banner of course. It sheds a tear for all the dead Nissan's out there and the one's that are currently in the wrong hands. 8-)

Although it may not appear so, I've done extensive modifications to the template (not so much from a visual standpoint) but more on the back end. I'd be more than happy to view your template, I can have it as another skin option for users if I approve of it. Most likely it will need heavy modification to suit my tastes.

Mike, the template you gave me was for an older version of phpBB, not compatible at all. However, I did find the author's website and downloaded the updated version of the same template...

Is this what you remember?

Yep. Ditch the header and go with a smaller, black-themed "NISSAN PURE" logo and you're good to go. I recall modifying some other things, but cant remember since its been ages since I had a forum. If you want, I'll design a black header for that theme for you.

I will modify this template to my liking and offer it as an option for user's to switch to. If this current template is the "light" version, this new one will be the "dark" version. If I need any assistance I'll shoot you a PM. Thanks Mike.

I've pretty much got it where I want it but only one issue remains, and that is with the global group colors.

As you can see, the blue and black are extremely offensive to the eyes on a dark background.

edit:

If I can figure out a way to switch a group's color based on which style is chosen, it would look something like this...

why do you need so many colors for the types of moderators

this isnt a world-class forum like zilvia. this is a shithole where people who think they are better than zilvians gather. :-)

get this theme online already. this white/grey is killing my eyes.

With as fucked as zilvia is right now, and the nonsense the mods are doing over there.... now would be a good time to get people to leave and find somewhere better.

Yeah it's getting bad over there. I saw it coming for years now but no one seems to care enough. At this point its just an ad-generating cash cow, the passion has since been exhausted.
