Did a coolant flush. Now using a 50/50 mix for the winter. Also replaced the fuel filter with an OEM Z32 unit. And after all that, a much needed car wash!

It is official, the two-tone is laced up with A/C. I was so excited today I didn't even take any pictures. But we vacuumed out the system and it was holding vacuum. We applied some pressure to the lines, and it held the pressure with no leaks, so we said fuck it and just loaded up the system with refrigerant and everything worked. Blows ice cold air and now everyone's mind is BLOWN.

Haha, good times.

Felt like I had to do a little upgrade to the two-tone since she's been good to me. I was missing the tight feeling my hatch had in the rear from the rear HICAS sway bar, so now the two-tone gets to embrace.

Size difference from 15mm to 21mm. Oh yeah. Doing the rough math the 21mm bar should be about 3.8x stiffer than the stock 15mm. Fuck yeah! 'Merica. Also did energy suspension bushings for the endlinks as is tradition.

Installed pics showing clearance. I'll leave that official NISSAN sticker on for baller status. :)

Next up, 25mm front sway bar + bushings.

Front 25mm sway bar with new energy suspension bushings has been installed. Didn't really bother to take pictures since there is nothing too photogenic about this process.

But I will drop a tidbit of information on the 25mm front sway bar. This sway bar was offered on '89/'90 models with sport-tuned suspension option. Fully loaded models also received this front bar. When 1991 models started being produced they did away with the 25mm front sway bar EXCEPT for HICAS models. Stock front sway bar is the standard 24mm, and while 1mm difference isn't much, it's a little bit stiffer (1.18x to be exact) which complements the addition of a stiffer rear sway bar.

I also weighed both bars for weight differences.

25mm = 11 lbs 0.4 oz
24mm = 10 lbs 2.6 oz

Back on the S13 SEs for a little bit...

Image

Sometimes I decide not to be so flashy and like to switch it up, lol.

Other than that been doing some small things.

Installed a cooling panel to help direct better airflow to the condenser and radiator.

Replaced a couple of rubber bumpers on the trunk so it closes nicer.

Image

Finally bought a new OEM shift boot since mine was definitely showing its age.

Other than that, just waiting for the next oil change interval!
