So i'm going to finally be wiring in a fuel gauge in since i have a custom cluster. My issue is the FSM states these colors.

Black/yellow - fuel pump power
Black - ground
Green/blue - fuel level sender
Black - ground
Red/black - low fuel level switch
Black - ground

I do NOT have the Red/Black or the Green/Blue Since i have a 1989 and the FSM states 91-94.
I do happen to have a Yellow/Red (?) and a Yellow. I am leaning towards the Yellow is the fuel level sender. The Yellow/Red is the E and the Yellow is the G.
Can anyone confirm that i tap into the Yellow G one for fuel level?

Below i attached the FSM for the 1989 240sx.

All S13 wire colors should be identical. The FSM is stating the wire colors off of the MALE plug. You are looking at the colors of the FEMALE plug.

Here are some pictures...

For ease of reference, the connections are as follows:

Male -> Female:

Black w/ Yellow -> White w/ Purple
Red w/ Black -> Yellow w/ Blue
Black -> Blue w/ Red
Green w/ Blue -> Solid Yellow
Black -> Black
Empty slot -> Empty slot

Now since you are wiring in a new fuel gauge, you will want to tap into the wire near the gauge cluster, no sense tapping into the wire at the fuel pump connection and running a wire all the way to the front of the car.

In the back of the oem gauge cluster there is a black plug that has the Green w/ Blue wire for the fuel level signal...

As you can see the Green w/ Blue is the same wire as the male side connector from the fuel pump plug, verify this with your multi-meter. Also, the red w/ black wire to the left of it is the signal for the low fuel level indicator.

Hope this helps.

Ahhh dammit, good call. Thanks bud. That helped alot, don't have a space for a fuel gauge up in the passenger compartment, might leave it in the trunk we will see. Thanks.
